Saudi Arabia – Security Consultant – JV

SGW are pleased to announce the formation of a Saudi Arabia – Security Consultant – JV with Al-Jazirah for Security Consultant (AJEC4S), for the promotion and delivery of safety and security consultancy and training services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Each party will contribute as appropriate, to ensure a joint AJEC4S and SGW company registration will meet the requirements for registering contractors, companies and consultancy offices to execute projects of security, safety and fire protection in firms under supervision of Higher Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS), of the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

HCIS-Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU) deals primarily with security, safety and fire protection government directives pertaining to civilian/commercial industrial facilities in the Kingdom’s Critical National Infrastructure.  There are approximately 2,500 oil, gas, petrochemical, water desalination, electrical power generation, mining, telecommunications, seaports, railway/metro facilities in which HCIS/CIPU are regulating for the Ministry of Interior. Under the terms of the agreement, AJEC4S and SGW will work in partnership to deliver high quality safety and security consultant services which meet the requirements of Safety and Fire Protection Directives for Industrial Facilities (SAF 1 to 22) and Security Directives for Industrial Facilities (SEC 1 to 12).

SGW in partnership with AJEC4S will provide Safety & Security Consultant Services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Al Jazirah Engineers & Consultants-AJEC was established in 1981 to promote and manage enterprises principally in the energy sector.   Today one of the leading firms of its type, with five branch offices all over the Kingdom, AJEC offers comprehensive services in several sectors of engineering and related activities. Forming a new identity in Safety Consultant and Security Consultant services is AJEC4S. Under the terms of the agreement, AJEC4S will be providing local engineering infrastructure, licencing and compliance.

SGW is a Security Consulting brand of UK origin, first established in 2003. Now with a network of offices in the UK, United Arab Emirates and Singapore, SGW have a wealth of experience delivering risk based security consulting assignments in Critical National Infrastructure Installations across Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Regions. Under the terms of the agreement, SGW will be providing a team of qualified security professionals who have previous experience of undertaking Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA’s) in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards, or whom have successfully undertaken Security Front End Engineering Design (FEED) projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Recently, Dr. Eng. Khalil Abdulkarim  Al Fraih, Director General of Al Jazirah Engineers & Consultants-AJEC and Simon Whitehouse, Managing Director of SGW Safety & Security Limited met in Dubai to complete signing of the new Saudi Arabia – Security Consultant – JV agreement, which has been notarised in the Dubai Courts and the Riyadh Chamber of Trade & Commerce.

Commenting on the new partnership, Simon Whitehouse, Managing Director of SGW said; I am delighted that Dr. Eng. Khalil Abdulkarim  Al Fraih and his team at AJEC have entered into this agreement which will ensure that the combined expertise and resource of each company is focused towards providing a high quality and alternative Safety & Security Consulting solution for civilian, commercial and industrial facilities in the Kingdom’s Critical National Infrastructure Sector.
